Python Job: Software Engineer - Python-Django (remote)

Requirements

• A computer-related engineering degree
• Highly developed logical thinking
• 2+ years working with Python
• Ability to engage in discussions of a wide range of engineering topics (DBs, Networking, Architecture, Scalability, Resilience)
• Used to code review practices and ability to take part in healthy discussions about code standards and developing strategies
• Able to embrace that learning is part of the job
• Easily uses Git
• Experience in web developing
• It’s a plus if you’re familiar with some of these: Django, FastAPI, REST, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, SCRUM, Git flow

Responsibilities

• This is not a developer position, it’s an engineering position. This means it requires the ambition to pursue new technologies and processes and be able to keep up with an already highly capable tech team, in order to grow our competitive edge
• As an engineer you’ll deal with the backend logic of several services
• You’ll work with systems architecture, database design and optimization, communications and, of course, business logic (programming)
• You’ll be the project owner of several projects, meaning you’ll be responsible for actively ensuring their continuation
• You’ll have to produce technical documentation: API documentation, flowcharts, sequence diagrams or the UML elements you seem fit
• We expect high quality levels in your work and results
• You’ll have to deal with critical situations calmly and be able to make surgical interventions
• Expect a high level of independence and responsability
